HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP)—Ryan Bright scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Sam Houston State to an 81-68 win over Central Arkansas on Saturday night.

Bright was one of four Bearkats (17-7, 9-2 Southland) in double figures. The others were C.J. Hadley and Aaron Wade, each with 13 points, and Jejuan Plair with 12.

Sam Houston State finished with 26 assists on 31 field goals, compared to 12 assists on 22 field goals for Central Arkansas (8-17, 2-9). Plair dished out seven assists, Bright had six, and Ashton Mitchell had five for the Bearkats.

Central Arkansas was led by three players with 15 points apiece: Nate Bowie, Marcus Pillow and Durrell Nevels. Frederick Campbell added 11 points, four rebounds and four assists. Mitch Rueter led Central Arkansas with eight rebounds.
