CONWAY, Ark. (AP)—Josh Alexander and Antuane Miller scored 14 points each as Stephen F. Austin beat Central Arkansas 60-54 Wednesday night.
UCA (8-16, 2-8 Southland Conference) dug itself a hole it couldn’t get out of with 38 percent shooting in the first half, while the Lumberjacks (14-8, 7-3) hit 48 percent of their shots from the field. Stephen F. Austin led 34-26 at intermission, and the two team matched points in the second half.
Nate Bowie led UCA’s offensive effort, scoring 16 points before fouling out late in the game. Durrell Nevels added 14 points for the Bears.
UCA made only 2-of-14 from 3-point range, while the Lumberjacks hit 5-of-13 from long distance.
