JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP)—Reserve Dequan Twilley led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points as East Tennessee State took control midway in the first half for an 87-57 victory Monday over cold-shooting Campbell.

East Tennessee (18-7, 12-1 Atlantic Sun Conference) stayed atop the league standings and won its 10th straight game.

The Bucs trailed 10-9 with 14:28 left in the first half but went on a 12-1 run and were never threatened the rest of the way. It was 43-23 at the half.

Eryk Thomas and Courtney Pigram scored 13 each for the Bucs and Andrew Reed had 10.

The Camels (10-13, 5-8) shot just 27.3 percent to 48.6 percent for East Tennessee.

Reserve Kyle Vejraska led Campbell with 16 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

The Camels made 21-of-31 free throws to East Tennessee’s 4-of-6. Campbell had 24 turnovers leading to 35 points for the Bucs.
