NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP)—Balanced scoring won the game as Northwestern State beat Central Arkansas 78-66 on Saturday for its sixth straight victory.

Eric Woods led the Demons (12-9, 7-2 Southland) with 12 points, and Jermaine Spencer and Trey Gilder added 10 each.

Nate Bowie came off the bench to score a season-high 21 points for the Bears (8-15, 2-7), who were behind only 36-32 at halftime. Durrell Nevels added 14 points, and DaMarcus Bell 11.

The Demons had scored 98 points in three of their last four games, and have averaged nearly 90 points in their six-game streak. They shot 45 percent from the field, made seven 3-point shots, and forced UCA into 26 turnovers.
