RICHMOND, Va. (AP)—Mark Tyndale had 27 points and 10 rebounds to lead Temple to a 80-59 win over Richmond on Wednesday night, extending the Spiders’ losing streak to six.
The Owls (8-12, 2-5 Atlantic 10) had their best shooting percentage of the season, hitting 29 of 43 (67.4 percent), and held Richmond to two field goals over the final 10 minutes.
The Spiders (5-16, 1-7) were tied 34-all at halftime but trailed 55-53 with 10:12 remaining. Richmond then missed 9 of its last 11 field goals and was kept to 41.2 percent shooting for the game, 30.8 percent in the second half.
Tyndale and Dionte Christmas had 21 points and 8 assists for the Owls and Dustin Salisbery had 15 points and 8 rebounds.
David Gonzalvez led Richmond with 12 points, and Ryan Butler and Dan Geriot each had 11.
