ETSU 71, Lipscomb 66
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Courtney Pigram scored a career high 34 points to lift ETSU past Lipscomb 71-66 on Saturday.
Pigram tied the ETSU (16-7 10-1 Atlantic Sun Conference) single game record for 3-point goals, hitting 8-of-12 from beyond the arc.
The Bucs led Lipscomb (13-9 7-4) 33-23 at the end of the first half, holding its largest lead by 14 points in the second half at 14:27.
The Bisons led only once, jumping ahead by 5 points during the first half at 18:41. The score was tied three times during the game.
ETSU’s Brad Nuckles picked up his sixth straight double-double with 14 rebounds and 11 points.
ETSU shot 60 percent from beyond the arc, held the Bisons to 36 percent shooting and out-rebounded them 46-39.
Lipscomb got a team-high 22 points from Trey Williams, while Eddie Ard posted 13 points.
