Lipscomb 73, Kennesaw State 62
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Reserve Michael Teller scored 19 points and had a game-high 10 rebounds to lift Lipscomb to a 73-62 victory over Kennesaw State on Thursday night.
The Bisons (13-8, 7-3 Atlantic Sun Conference) pulled away in the second half after a 35-35 tie at halftime.
Teller hit 5-of-7 3-pointers in 28 minutes. Jason Hopkins added 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the floor and Eddie Ard added 14.
Kennesaw (8-14, 4-6 A-Sun) stayed close by making 12-of-14 free throws while the Bisons hit just 13-of-22.
The Owls were led by Golden Ingle with 22 points, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range. Brent Ragsdale scored 17 and reserve Andre Morgan had 10.
Lipscomb hit 48.2 percent from the field for the game to 41.2 percent for the Owls.
