Davidson 101, Georgia Southern 92
STATESBORO, Ga. (AP)—Jason Richards scored a career-high 32 points as Davidson rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit and pulled away to defeat Georgia Southern 101-92 Tuesday night.
It was the 13th win in the last 14 games for the Wildcats, who improved to 17-4 overall and 8-1 in the Southern Conference.
Davidson, which trailed 55-46 at halftime, began the second half on a 9-2 run to close the gap to 57-55. The Eagles were able to answer each basket to keep Davidson from tying the game, but Curry finally put the Wildcats on top at the 11:24 mark with a trey from the top of the key.
Four other Davidson players scored in double figures. Stephen Curry had 19 of his 23 points in the second half, Thomas Sander finished with 19, and Boris Meno and William Archambault scored 11 each.
The Eagles (9-10, 2-6 SoCon) were led by Louis Graham, who poured in a career-high 26 points by shooting 9-for-13 from the floor. Donte Gennie and Jimmy Tobias added 19 each and Dwayne Foreman tallied 11.
