Bucknell 62, Lehigh 44
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP)—Chris McNaughton and Donald Brown each scored 15 points to lead Bucknell to a 62-44 win over Lehigh on Tuesday night.
Bucknell (11-8, 5-1 Patriot League) took control of the game early in the first half thanks to its defense. The Bison held the Mountain Hawks (9-13, 4-2) to one field goal over a seven-minute stretch while building a double-digit lead.
Bucknell shot 60 percent (6-of-10) from behind the 3-point arc in the first half on the way to a 37-21 halftime lead. Lehigh freshman guard Marquis Hall accounted for 13 of the Mountain Hawks’ first-half points.
Lehigh started the second half with a 7-0 run to cut the margin to 11 points, but a Brown putback sparked an 8-0 Bison run to push the lead back to 13, and the Mountain Hawks never got closer.
Brown scored 12 of his 15 points in the second half and McNaughton also had a team-high 11 rebounds. Hall finished with a game-high 18 points for Lehigh.
