Denver 90, Florida Atlantic 85
DENVER (AP)—DaShawn Walker scored 25 points and Joe Jackson added 21 points as Denver rallied in the second half to beat Florida Atlantic 90-85 Thursday night.
Jackson scored 10 of his points in the final five minutes of the game, including a pair of free throws with 25 seconds remaining to seal the win for Denver (3-15, 2-6 Sun Belt Conference).
The game was tied at 44 at the break but Florida Atlantic (8-10, 4-4) appeared to be pulling away in the second half, leading by eight points with 10 minutes left in the game.
Denver came back and took the lead for good on a jumper by Jackson with four minutes remaining.
Florida Atlantic’s Carlos Monroe led the Owls with 23 points and 15 rebounds, while DeAndre Rice added 22 points, including 15 from 3-point range.
Florida Atlantic head coach Rex Walters was ejected with 12:44 remaining in the first half after receiving his second foul.
