Tennessee St. 83, Jacksonville St. 74
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Reiley Ervin led Tennessee State with a career-high 29 points, including 15 free throws, to an 83-74 win over Jacksonville State Saturday night.
The Tigers dominated the first half, leading the Jacksonville’s Gamecocks 31-20 at the intermission.
The lead changed twice but Jacksonville (3-14) never managed to get up by more than two points.
Both Moraye Ivy and Clarence Matthews contributed 13 points for the Tigers (7-9) while Larry Turner and Andrae Belton contributed another 10 apiece.
Nick Smith was the high scorer for Jacksonville State with 18 points. The only other player with points in the double digits was Harold Crow with 15.
