McNeese St. 59, Sam Houston St. 58, OT

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP)—Quentin Gonzales came off the bench to score a game-high 21 points and grab seven rebounds to lead McNeese State to a 59-58 overtime win over Sam Houston State on Thursday night.

The Cowboys (6-10, 1-1 Southland) forced overtime when Troy Aaron made two free throws with six seconds left in regulation. McNeese State trailed by as many as six points in overtime but still pulled out the win, ending Sam Houston State’s 11-game home winning streak.

Jarvis Bradley added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Cowboys. John Pichon grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.

Jejuan Plair led Sam Houston State (10-6, 2-1) with 19 points. Ryan Bright finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and three steals. C.J. Hadley finished with seven points and 10 rebounds.
