MOSCOW, Idaho (AP)—Elijah Ingram scored 15 points, all on 3-pointers, as he led New Mexico State to a 61-56 comeback win over host Idaho in Western Athletic Conference play Thursday night.
Fred Peete added 14 points for the Aggies, while Shaun Davis had 12.
Keoni Watson led Idaho with 17 points while Darin Nagle had 13 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks.
The Idaho Vandals (2-13, 0-3 WAC) led by as many as 12 points in the second half, but a long Idaho scoring drought eventually gave New Mexico State (13-3, 3-0) the victory.
The Vandals led 31-27 at the half.
Idaho connected on 8-of-17 first half 3-point attempts and finished the game 11-of-24 from the perimeter.
The Aggies struggled from the field in the opening half, going 10-for-27, including a 3-for-10 success rate on 3-point attempts.
After the break, Nagle highlighted a 9-0 Idaho run with a pair of 3-pointers, but the Vandals were unable to sustain that kind of shooting. During the Aggies’ late run, Idaho mustered just three free throws.
