Weber St. 84, Montana St. 63
OGDEN, Utah (AP)—David Patten scored a game-high 25 points and Weber State defeated Montana State 84-63 Saturday.
Patten scored the final eight points of the first half for the Wildcats (10-7 overall, 3-1 Big Sky), who led 40-33 at halftime. Patten also made all 10 of his free-throw attempts in the half.
Nick Dissly led the Bobcats (4-12, 1-2) with 21 points while Carlos Taylor had 12.
A pair of free throws from Adrian Zamora pulled Montana State within 63-57, its closest deficit during the second half, with 8:31 remaining. However, the Bobcats scored just three points in the final five minutes as Weber State pulled away.
Dan Henry scored a career-high 21 points, while Juan Tyler Billings had 12 and Juan Pablo Silveira added 11 for Weber State.
Patten also grabbed nine rebounds as the Wildcats outrebounded the Bobcats 40-32.
