New Orleans 76, Denver 66
DENVER (AP)—Bo McCalebb scored 28 points and had six assists to help New Orleans beat Denver 76-66 during a snow storm Thursday.
New Orleans (6-7) jumped out to an early double-digit lead—22-7—in the first eight minutes. But Denver (1-12) cut the deficit to 40-36 at the half.
Freshman guard Tyler Bullock scored on a jumper to cut the lead to 40-38 with 18:48 left. New Orleans then went on a 10-3 run and kept the lead the rest of the game. New Orleans outscored Denver 36-30 in the second half and turned the ball over 19 times during the game.
Senior DaShawn Walker led the Pioneers with 24 points and Antonio Porch added 16.
Bullock scored nine points and had four steals for New Orleans. Jamie McNalley had 12 points and Dusty Driggs added nine points.
