WASHINGTON (AP)—Jeff Green had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead Georgetown to its fifth straight victory, a 65-44 win over Navy on Saturday.

Roy Hibbert added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Hoyas (9-3). The 7-foot-2, 278-pound center’s whirling spin move down the lane for a layup aroused the crowd and gave the Hoyas a 55-36 lead with 6:42 remaining.

Greg Sprink had 16 points for Navy (9-4), which never led.

After being assessed a technical foul, Green scored eight straight points that gave Georgetown a 25-16 lead late in the first half. He shot 8 for 12 from the field as the Hoyas concluded a five-game homestand, their longest of the season.

Jessie Sapp had eight points for Georgetown and Jonathan Wallace added five assists.

Both teams struggled offensively early. Navy made only one of its first 11 field-goal attempts and Georgetown opened 3 for 11 from the field. The Hoyas shot 50 percent in the second half to finish at 43 percent.

Kaleo Kina and Adam Teague scored nine points apiece for Navy, which was outscored 16-3 on second-chance points. Kina’s back-to-back layups pulled the Midshipmen to 40-31 with 13:04 remaining but that was as close as they got down the stretch.
