NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Ladarious Weaver scored 21 points to lead Tennessee State to a 67-60 victory Friday night over cold-shooting Ball State.

The Tigers (5-5) built a 13-point lead midway through the second half, shooting 50 percent for the game to 32.7 percent for Ball State (4-8).

Reiley Erwin scored 10 points for the Tigers and was the only other Tennessee State player in double figures, but all eight Tigers who played scored at least 3 points.

Ball State, which trailed 31-24 at halftime, was led by Skip Mills with 26 points and nine rebounds.

The Cardinals started fast and led by 11 early in the first half. For the game they led in rebounds 36-28, and stayed close by making 19-of-25 free throws.
