EDINBURG, Texas (AP)—Colin Lien scored 17 points, including five in the final two minutes, to help lead Texas-Pan American to a 69-64 victory over Texas-San Antonio on Wednesday night.

Texas-Pan American’s Kano Edwards tied the game at 58-58 with a pair of free throws with 3:15 left and Dexter Shankle hit a 3-pointer to give the Broncs the lead for good with 2:48 left.

Paul Stoll scored 12 points and Johnathan Chatman and Brian Burrell each scored 11 for Texas-Pan American (7-5).

Keith Spencer led Texas-San Antonio (4-7) with 17 points and Melvin Smith added 16. Kurt Attaway had 11.

Texas-San Antonio used a 20-3 run to start the second half and take a 44-35 lead with 14:04 left.

Texas-Pan American shot 55 percent from the field while the Roadrunners shot 43 percent.
