MUNCIE, Ind. (AP)—Dionte Christmas scored 11 of his 23 points in the second half to lead Temple to a 75-70 victory over Ball State on Tuesday.
Mark Tyndale came off the bench to add 18 points for the Owls (5-3).
Peyton Stovall scored 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting to lead the Cardinals (4-7) in their seventh loss of the last nine games. D’Andre Peyton added 16 points and nine rebounds for Ball State.
The Cardinals never trailed in the first half as they shot 14-of-26 (54 percent) from the floor and led 36-33 at halftime.
Christmas hit a jumper with 14:45 left to give Temple its first lead and the Owls went on a 20-11 run to take a 63-52 lead with 5:50 remaining. Ball State trailed by no less than five points the rest of the way.
The Cardinals committed 22 turnovers, which the Owls turned into 23 points.
