Wagner 72, Robert Morris 60
NEW YORK (AP)—Mark Porter scored 19 of his career-high 26 points in the second half to lead Wagner to a 72-60 victory over Robert Morris on Saturday.
Porter added eight rebounds and five assists for the Seahawks (3-6, 1-0 Northeast Conference). Joey Mundweiler had 16 points for Wagner, while Jamal Smith added 14.
Tony Lee had 17 points for the Colonials (5-3, 0-2), while A.J. Jackson and Derek Coleman each added 13. Jackson led all rebounders with 11.
Lee had seven points as Robert Morris opened the game on an 11-2 run, but Wagner scored the next 15 points to take the lead for good. Mundweiler had eight points, including two 3-pointers, in the spurt.
The Colonials closed within 38-33 on a jumper by Lee with 15:20 to go, but Mundweiler had seven points in a 14-5 run that gave the Seahawks a 52-38 lead.
