UNC-Greensboro 91, Furman 86 2OT
GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP)—Ricky Hickman scored 13 of his 26 points in overtime to lead UNC-Greensboro to a 91-86 double overtime win against Furman in Southern Conference action Saturday.
Mikko Koivisto hit a 3-pointer while Kyle Hines and Hickman made lay-ups to lead a 7-2 Spartan run to start the second overtime period.
After Furmans Eric Webb hit two free throws and a 3-pointer to tie the game at 84-84 with 53 seconds left, Hickman scored seven straight points to give UNC-Greensboro (3-6, 2-1) its second SoCon win of the season.
Kendall Toney scored 17 points and Koivisto added 14 to join Hickman in double figures for the Spartans. Hines scored 16 on 6-of-14 shooting and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
Furman (5-4, 0-1) was led by Webb with 26 points and five assists. Moussa Diagne had 18 points and Robby Bostain netted 15 points and 11 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Stanley Jones added 10 points.
