Sacred Heart 90, Robert Morris 74
FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP)—Chauncy Hardy and Joey Henley scored 18 points apiece to lead Sacred Heart to a 90-74 win over Robert Morris Thursday in the Northeast Conference opener for both teams.
The Pioneers (4-5) shot 53 percent from the floor and dominated inside, outrebounding the Colonials 40-32. Sacred Heart reserves, which included Henley and Hardy, outscored the Robert Morris bench 52-14. Henley also had a team-high nine rebounds.
Sacred Heart had a 51-34 lead at the break and led by as much as 22 in the second half.
Tony Lee had 17 points and Jeremy Chappel 16 to pace Robert Morris (5-2).
