Louisiana-Monroe 88, Loyola, NO 53
MONROE, La. (AP)—Tony Hooper had a career-high 27 points to lead Louisiana-Monroe to an 88-53 win over Loyola of New Orleans on Saturday afternoon.
Louisiana-Monroe (3-3) took a 10-0 lead over Loyola (2-3) in the first four minutes and had a 41-28 lead at halftime.
ULM put the game away in the second half, going on a 16-1 run to increase the lead to 30 points and held Loyola without a field goal for over seven minutes.
Hooper also had an eight assists and ULM finished with 18 assists. Jordan Payne added 15 points, Nathaniel Roche 13 and Lance Brasher 12 for Louisiana-Monroe.
Sean Bennett led Loyola with 15 points.
