Lipscomb 70, Tusculum 67
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Brian Fisk scored 19 points and contributed a game-leading three steals to help Lipscomb beat Tusculum 70-67 on Saturday.
The Bisons (1-0) opened with a 9-0 lead and a 43-29 advantage at the half. But in the second half the Bisons shooting went cold, losing an 18-point lead.
Tusculum (0-0) took its first lead of the game at 6:15 when Jordan Lear scored on a 3-pointer for a 53-52 advantage.
The Bisons went ahead 55-54 as Fisk hit a pair of free throws. With 5:25 left, Tusculum fought back, opening up three five-point leads, the last with one minute left on the clock at 67-62.
Four Tusculum players finished in double figures. Chris Poore led with 15 points. Serge Poppe scored 13. Eric Williams and Boone each scored 10 points.
