CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP)—Walker Russell scored 17 points, including 11 of 12 free throws, as Jacksonville State beat Eastern Illinois 75-68 Thursday night.
Courtney Bradley added 17 points of his own and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds for the Gamecocks (14-12, 11-8 Ohio Valley), who came back from a 31-26 halftime deficit while holding Eastern Illinois to 38.7 percent second-half shooting and hitting 19 of 25 free-throw attempts.
All five Panther (6-20, 5-14) starters scored in double-digits, led by 15 points on Jake Byrne’s 7-for-11 shooting and a dozen points from Mike Robinson. George Tandy scored 11, while Bobby Catching and Jake Sinclair added 10 apiece.
B.J. Spencer chipped in 12 points in the Jacksonville State win, while Harold Crow added 11 off the bench.
