Bucknell 57, Holy Cross 52
WORCESTER, Mass. (AP)—Charles Lee scored 24 points and Bucknell came back from a 15-point second half deficit for a 57-52 win over Holy Cross on Saturday.
Holy Cross (14-11, 7-3 Patriot) led 33-25 at halftime, then opened the second half with a 7-0 run for a 40-25 lead with 16:04 remaining.
Lee scored 10 points, including two 3-pointers, as Bucknell (20-3, 11-0) cut the deficit to 43-38 with 8:46 left.
Kevin Hamilton scored a 3 to make it 46-38, but the Bison used a 10-2 run over the next 3:28 to tie it 48-48 on Abe Badmus’ 3-pointer with 4:05 to play.
Hamilton scored another 3, before Lee hit a field goal to make it 51-50. Kevin Bettencourt then hit a 3-pointer as the Bison took their first lead of the game, 53-51.
Keith Simmons led Holy Cross with 13 points, Hamilton finished with 12 and Tim Clifford had 10.
