Austin Peay 95, Jacksonville St. 82
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Maurice Hampton scored 27 points and Austin Peay shot 65 percent in the second half en route to a 95-82 victory Thursday over Jacksonville State.
Austin Peay (8-5, 3-2 Ohio Valley Conference) led most of the second half, although Jacksonville State (5-6, 3-2) tied it 48-48 with 15:17 left. The Governors then rallied and led by as much as 17 points at 95-78 with 1:17 left.
Drake Reed added 20 points for the Governors, shooting 9-of-12 from the field. Zac Schlader had 17 and reserve Landon Shipley 15.
Austin Peay shot 56.1 percent for the game.
Jacksonville State, which hit 42.3 percent, was led by Courtney Bradley with 23 points, hitting 9-of-11 shots from the field. Anthony Wilson scored 16, B.J. Spencer 14 and Walker Russell 10.
Austin Peay led 40-33 at the half.
