Auburn 87, Jacksonville St. 83
AUBURN, Ala. (AP)—Josh Dollard had 29 points and Rasheem Barrett added 28 to lead Auburn to an 87-83 victory over Jacksonville State Saturday.
Behind 74-72, Quantez Robertson hit a three-pointer with 5:11 to play to give the Tigers a 75-74 lead—their first since leading 38-35 at the 2:24 mark of the first half.
The field goal by Robertson was his only of the game and it helped the Tigers close the game on a 17-9 run.
“It wasn’t pretty, but we found a way to win,” head coach Jeff Lebo said.
Jacksonville State led 44-40 at halftime.
But Barrett and Dollard scored 28 of the Tigers’ first 30 points to open the second half. The two also helped Auburn (7-3) outscore Jacksonville State’s (5-5) bench 71-16 in the win.
Courtney Bradley had 10 rebounds and led Jacksonville State with a career-high 20 points.
