Towson 69, Lehigh 66
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP)—Gary Neal scored 19 points and Velmar Coleman added 13 points off the bench to lead Towson past Lehigh 69-66 Friday afternoon.
Lehigh’s Jose Olivero led all scorers with 24 points, but he missed a late 3-pointer that would have given the Mountain Hawks the lead.
Neal broke a tie game with a jumper with less than 45 seconds left. Towson (4-6) sealed the win by knocking down three free throws.
Lehigh (5-8) overcame a dismal first half in which they scored 22 points on 8-for-34 shooting, but the Mountain Hawks couldn’t make up an early 18-point deficit. Towson led by 11 at halftime.
Lawrence Hamm scored 11 for Towson.
Kyle Neptune had 16 points before fouling out for Lehigh.
