PITTSBURGH (AP)—Bryant McAllister had 24 points to lead Duquesne to its first win of the season, a 73-58 victory over Robert Morris on Saturday,
McAllister made his first five shots and had 14 points in the opening 13 minutes as the Dukes took a 26-15 lead. He also posted five rebounds and five assists.
Duquesne (1-3) opened the game on a 21-7 run, limiting the Colonials to just two field goals in the first nine minutes.
Robert Morris (2-3) cut the deficit to 37-33 after an A.J. Jackson basket to open the second half. But the Dukes followed with a 14-0 run and never led by less than 10 the rest of the way.
Tony Lee had 13 points to lead Robert Morris. Freddie Harris added 11—all in the first half, when he sustained an ankle injury late. The Colonials shot just 34 percent from the field.
Chauncey Duke had a career-high 10 rebounds for Duquesne.
The Dukes had all their players in uniform for the first time this season.
