Princeton 68, Columbia 59

NEW YORK (AP)—Luke Owings scored 14 of his 19 points in the second half and Princeton extended its winning streak against Columbia to eight games with a 68-59 victory Friday night.

Scott Greenman had of 10 his 15 points in the second half for the Tigers (13-11, 4-6 Ivy).

Freshman John Baumann scored 14 points and Jeremiah Boswell added 13 for the Lions (12-12, 3-8), who lost their seventh straight game.

Columbia took its only lead of the second half at 38-37 on two free throws by Tito Hill with 14:08 left, but Owings scored seven points in a 12-4 run to give the Tigers a 49-42 lead.

Owings scored his 14 second-half points in a span of 7:38 as the Tigers moved out to a 53-46 lead with 6:13 remaining.

Princeton made 16 straight free throws over a 20-minute span, starting with 2:26 remaining in the first half, but missed five of its last six attempts and shot 21-for-27 from the line. Columbia shot 8-for-12.
