Princeton 69, Brown 52
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP)—Will Venable scored 18 points and Princeton shot a season-best 65 percent from the field for a 69-52 win over Brown on Saturday night.
Jason Forte scored 26 points for Brown (9-13, 2-6 Ivy), which lost its fourth straight.
The Tigers (12-11, 3-6) shot 70 percent in the first half and led 33-28 at halftime then took control with a 17-3 run to start the second half. Princeton led by as many as 26 in the second half with 7:50 remaining on a pair of free throws by Max Schafer.
Mike Stephens added 15 points off the bench for the Tigers, who also got 10 from Luke Owings.
Forte scored 17 points in the second half and shot 4-of-5 on 3-pointers. Brown’s second leading scorers had five points each.
