Old Dominion 70, Towson 59
NORFOLK, Va. (AP)—Valdas Vasylius had a career-high 29 points and 10 rebounds and Alex Loughton had 20 points and 10 rebounds Wednesday night, leading Old Dominion to a 70-59 victory against Towson.
The Monarchs (20-3, 10-1 Colonial Athletic Association) led 36-28 at halftime, scored the first four points of the second half and never let Towson closer than five.
Towson (5-16, 2-9) got 12 points from Cantrell Fletcher and 10 each from Winstonn Tubbs and Mike Green. The Tigers were outscored 22-6 at the free-throw line, outrebounded 40-33 and shot just 39 percent. The Monarchs shot almost 47 percent.
Brandon Johnson had 10 assists for Old Dominion, which had 21 assists on 23 baskets.
