Wright St. 59, Butler 54
INDIANAPOLIS (AP)—Zach Williams had 17 points and six rebounds, and Drew Burleson scored 14 more to lead Wright State to a 59-54 win over Horizon League opponent Butler on Saturday.
Wright State (9-9, 4-3) overcame a 28-24 halftime deficit to outscore Butler 35-26 in the second period to secure the win.
Three players scored in double digits for Butler (7-9, 2-4), Avery Sheets with 14, A.J. Graves with 12 and Brandon Polk with 11.
The Bulldogs built on their halftime lead to go up by 11 points, 44-33, with 12:22 left in the second half.
But then the Raiders went on a 12-0 run to take a brief 45-44 lead with 7:30 to go. Butler retook the lead about a minute and half later and led 54-49 with 4:23 left.
Wright State grabbed the lead for good with 1:15 to go on a basket by Zakee Boyd.
Also scoring in double digits for Wright State were DaShaun Woods and Boyd with 10 points each.
