N. Carolina A&T 82, Howard 72
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP)—Steven Koger scored 22 points as North Carolina A&T outlasted Howard for an 82-72 win on Monday.
Koger hit 7 of 11 shots from the field and 5 of 6 from the line to lead the Aggies (3-13, 2-3 MEAC), who shot just 43.5 percent from the field overall. That was better than Howard, which connected on 32.3 percent.
North Carolina A&T led 42-32 at halftime, then fought the Bison even in the second half for the win. The Aggies dominated the game inside, scoring 38 points in the point compared to 12 for Howard.
Will Gant had 15 points to lead the Bison (5-9, 2-3). Reggie Bates had 12 points and Darryl Hudson added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Cliffone Ault had 11 points and nine rebounds.
Sean Booker had 15 for North Carolina A&T, and Rechodd Carter added 10.
It was the Aggies’ 200th win in Corbett Sports Center and the first back-to-back wins in almost two years.
