CS Northridge 70, Utah State 67

LOS ANGELES (AP)—Davin White hit the game-winning 3-pointer with less than a minute left to lead Cal State Northridge past Utah State 70-67 on Saturday.

White had a team-high 15 points coming off the bench to help Cal State Northridge (8-7, 6-1) to its sixth consecutive win. Jonathan Heard added 14 points and Ian Boylan had 11 points for Northridge.

White capped a four-point possession that turned a three-point Utah State lead into a 69-67 Northridge advantage when his three-pointer from the top of the circle fell with 52.4 seconds left. The shot came after Heard made the first of two free-throw attempts with 1:26 left and Boylan secured the offensive rebound after Heard’s second attempt rolled off the rim. It also gave Northridge its first lead since 38-37 with 15:48 left.

Utah State (11-5, 2-3) came up empty on its final three possessions. The Aggies were led by Jaycee Carroll’s 19 points and 18 points by Nate Harris.
