Cal St. Northridge 67, Idaho 63
LOS ANGELES (AP)—Ian Boylan scored 18 points to lead Cal State Northridge 67-63 over Idaho on Thursday, the team’s fifth consecutive win.
Guard Boylan hit all five of his shots inside the arc, including a driving baseline lay-up that led to a three-point play with 25 seconds remaining that proved to be the game-winner.
Nine seconds earlier, Boylan pulled Northridge to within one at 63-62 by making the first of two free-throws. Teammate Davin White scored 15 points off the bench.
The game had 12 lead changes and 11 ties, though Idaho held the lead for most of the second half.
Tanoris Shepard and Anton Lyons each had a game-high 19 points for Idaho (5-10, 3-1).
Lyons also had 15 rebounds, leading a team effort that saw the Vandals out-rebound the Matadors (7-7, 5-1) 45-30, including 20-8 on the offensive glass.
