Towson 86, Delaware 66
TOWSON, Md. (AP)—Reserve Lawrence Hamm scored 23 points and Towson cruised to an 86-66 victory over Delaware on Wednesday night.
Mike Green scored 16 of his 20 points in the first half for the Tigers (4-8, 1-1 Colonial Athletic Association), who took a 49-32 halftime lead.
The 20-point margin of victory was Towson’s largest ever in 51 meetings with Delaware, and it equaled the Tigers’ largest margin in a CAA game.
Harding Nana had 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Blue Hens (4-9, 1-1), who lost their sixth straight.
Delaware scored the first six points of the game, but Towson responded with a 17-0 run and never trailed again. The Tigers shot 57.1 percent from the field in the first half, including 7-of-11 from 3-point range.
Jonathan Pease had 15 points and 14 rebounds, and Cantrell Fletcher added 11 points and seven assists for Towson.
Delaware’s Mike Slattery returned after missing five games with a broken thumb, finishing with five points and a game-high nine assists.
