Southern (3-6) also missed its first six shots of the game.

The Trojans went on a 12-0 run to take a 19-10 lead before Alexander made a jumper from the lane with 7:20 left in the half to end the Jaguars’ drought. Alexander scored 10 of the Jaguars’ first 12 points.
