BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP)—Ralfeal Golden scored 17 points and Malcolm Campbell added 16 to help Alabama State overcome Jackson State 59-56 in double overtime in the Southwestern Athletic Conference semifinals Friday night.

The Hornets (14-14) advance to face either Alcorn State or Alabama A&M in the finals.

It was the second night in a row that Golden came through big for the Hornets—he scored the game-winning 3-pointer in Alabama State’s 63-62 victory over Southern on Thursday.

Jackson State (12-16) trailed 23-19 at the half after shooting 25 percent from the field and going 2-for-7 from the free-throw line.

K.C. Cavette led the Tigers with 14 points. He shot 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, but sank just 4-of-14 from the field.

Alabama State now enters the finals on a five-game winning streak. The Hornets have won 12 of their last 14 games.
