FRESNO, Calif. (AP)—Shantay Legans scored a career-high 30 points to help Fresno State snap a three-game losing streak with an 81-76 victory against San Jose State on Thursday night.

Legans was 9-of-15 from the field and played all 40 minutes for the 10th consecutive game for the Bulldogs (13-14, 9-8 Western Athletic Conference). He also set a personal best by making seven 3-pointers.

San Jose State (6-21, 1-16) lost its fifth consecutive game despite 12-of-25 shooting from 3-point range and a career-high 27 points from Marquin Chandler.

The two worst-scoring teams in the Western Athletic Conference put on an offensive show in the second half after they entered halftime tied at 30.

Midway through the second half, the Spartans hit 3-pointers on five consecutive possessions, the last of which gave them a 52-49 lead.

Fresno State then went on 13-0 run, capped by Dreike Bouldin’s 3-pointer from the left wing. The Bulldogs made 13 of 18 shots to start the second half.

Bouldin scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half and added 10 rebounds and seven assists. Mustafa Al-Sayyad had 11 points and Francis Koffi 10 for the Bulldogs.

Brett Lilly scored 15 for the Spartans, Bim Okunrinboye added 13 and Eric Walton 12.
