TRENTON, N.J. (AP)—Steve Castleberry grabbed a rebound and scored at the buzzer to give Rider a 57-56 victory over Manhattan Thursday night.

Jason Wingate stole the ball for Manhattan (21-5, 15-2) with 31 seconds remaining and Luis Flores scored on a layup with 15 seconds left to give the Jaspers a 56-55 lead.

Edwin Muniz’s shot from the corner with 2 seconds left came up short. But it was picked up by Castleberry, who scored his 15th point of the game at the buzzer. Castleberry also grabbed eight rebounds while Muniz finished with 11 points for the Broncs.

With the score tied at 45, Rider (16-12, 10-7) went on an 8-0 run to take a 53-45 lead with 4:37 left.

Manhattan jumped out to an 11-2 lead before Rider head coach Don Harnum picked up consecutive technical fouls and was ejected from the game with 15:48 left in the first half.

For Manhattan, Flores finished with a game-high 30 points.
