DAYTON, Ohio (AP)—Vernard Hollins scored 24 points and DaShaun Wood had 19 to lead Wright State to an 81-61 win over Youngstown State on Thursday night.

Seth Doliboa added 11 points for the Raiders (14-11, 10-4), who tied Illinois-Chicago and Wisconsin-Green Bay for second place in the Horizon League.

Khari McQueen led Youngstown State (8-16, 4-10) with 13 points.

Hollins scored six points during a 14-4 run that gave the Raiders a 31-20 lead with 3:42 left in the first half.

Wright State led 39-25 at halftime and doubled its lead to 28 points in the first seven minutes of the second half. The Raiders opened the second half with a 17-3 surge to make it 56-28 with 13:24 remaining.

The Raiders shot 51.9 percent from the floor to just 37.5 percent for the Penguins.
