SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP)—Jasmin Lowe scored 20 points to lead Savannah State to its second straight victory—and just its third overall this season—as the Tigers beat Alabama A&M 77-69 Monday night.
A 3-pointer by Lowe four minutes into the second half started an 11-1 run that gave the Tigers (3-22) a 58-47 lead at the 11:47 mark. The closest Alabama A&M (8-13) could get after that was five points—the last time 72-67 with 1:21 to play.
Savannah State, which won 73-59 at Maryland-Eastern Shore on Thursday, led 37-34 at halftime. The Tigers got 14 points from Jamal Daniels and 11 from P.H. Henderson.
Obie Trotter led Alabama A&M with 29 points. Terry Horton added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
