Buffalo 77, Marshall 58
AMHERST N.Y. (AP)—Mark Bortz had 21 points, a career-high 15 rebounds and tied a career-high with four blocks to lead Buffalo to a 77-58 win over Marshall Saturday.
Yassin Idbihi also posted a career-high with 19 points for the Bulls (9-10, 5-6 Mid-American Conference). Turner Battle added 12 points and six assists.
Buffalo took control from the opening tip, outscoring Marshall 22-7 to start the game. Battle had a pair of 3-pointers during the run.
Buffalo went into halftime leading 42-25 and led by at least 15 points for the duration of the second half.
Marshall (7-12, 4-7) shot 26.9 percent from the field in the first half, their lowest shooting percentage in a half this season.
Marshall, which lost its fourth straight game, went 1 for 15 from 3-point range for the game.
Marshall had just one player in double figures, David Anderson with 10 points. A.W. Hamilton added eight points and four assists.
