Wright St. 72, Cleveland St. 56
DAYTON, Ohio (AP)—Drew Burleson and DaShaun Wood each had 15 points to lead Wright State to a 72-56 win over Cleveland State on Saturday.
Wood, who also had a game-high six assists, shot 4 of 6 from the floor and a perfect 7 of 7 from the free throw line.
Wright St. (11-9, 8-2 Horizon League) didn’t relinquish the lead after Seth Doliboa’s free throw broke a 3-3 tie about four minutes into the game. Doliboa finished with 12 points and 15 rebounds, while Vernard Hollins scored 13.
The Raiders led the Vikings (4-17, 0-10) 38-23 at halftime.
Omari Westley led Cleveland State with 22 points and eight rebounds. Jermain Robinson added 19 points for the Vikings.
Cleveland State turned the ball over 14 times, while Wright State had eight turnovers.
