Va. Commonwealth 101, Towson 76
RICHMOND, Va. (AP)—B.A. Walker scored 21 points and Drew Johnson and Michael Doles had 19 each as Virginia Commonwealth beat Towson 101-76 in a Colonial Athletic Association game Wednesday night.
This was Virginia Commonwealth’s fourth straight win.
The Rams (13-5, 7-2) took the lead for good with a 14-0 run early in the first half. Towson could get no closer than seven.
Virginia Commonwealth led 49-34 at the break, hitting 72 percent of their shots in the first half.
In their last three CAA home games, the Rams have averaged 93 points a game.
Jamaal Gilchrist paced Towson (6-12, 3-6) with 21 points, scoring 15 in the first half. Mike Green added 13 points, and Derrick Goode had 12.
