NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Bruce Price scored 38 points, 17 of them free throws, lifting Tennessee State to an 88-74 victory Thursday night over Jacksonville State.

The Tigers (2-10, 1-0 Ohio Valley Conference) snapped an 18-game OVC regular season losing streak dating back two years.

Price was 17-of-24 from the free throw line and 8-of-14 from the floor, including 5-of-8 3-pointers.

Jacksonville State (6-7, 1-2 OVC) never led, and got as close at 58-49 with 9:40 left on a 3-pointer by Walker Russell. He and Josh Perry led the Gamecocks with 15 points each and Trent Eager had 14.

Tennessee State led 41-25 at halftime and enjoyed its biggest lead, 53-33, on a tip-in by Roshaun Bowens with 13:33 left.

Jeremy Jackson finished with 17 points for the Tigers, including three 3-pointers, and Bowens had 13.
