Manhattan 72, Siena 50

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP)—Luis Flores scored 29 points to lead Manhattan to a 72-50 victory over Siena Saturday night.

Manhattan (7-3, 2-0 MAAC) held Siena to 34 percent shooting for the game while shooting 45.3 percent from the field.

Trailing 36-23 at the half, Siena pulled to 50-41 with 6:26 left in the game.

But Jason Benton’s tip-in ended a seven-minute scoring drought for Manhattan and spurred a 22-7 run that gave the Jaspers a 24 point lead with time running out.

Manhatttan hit 20 of 31 free throws while Siena was 11 of 18 from the line.

Austin Andrews led Siena with 19 points. Michael Haddix added 14 and grabbed 11 rebounds.

It was the ninth straight loss for the Saints (3-10, 0-3).
