San Jose St. 79, Baylor 64
LAIE, Hawaii (AP)—Brett Lilly scored 19 points as San Jose State beat Baylor 79-64 Saturday night in the round-robin Surf N’ Slam-Hawaii Tournament.
San Jose State, which held a 40-27 lead at halftime, made 31 of its 54 shots from the field, while Baylor was 21-of-52.
Demetrius Brown had 16 points, Kareem Guilbeaux and Michael McFadden 12 apiece and Eric Walton 10 as the Spartans improved to 5-3.
Five players also scored in double figures for Baylor (4-6). Terrance Thomas and Corey Herring had 12 points apiece, R.T. Guinn and Sayman had 11 and Tommy Swanson had 10.
Baylor scored 16 of its points on 19 free throws, while San Jose State was 8-of-9 from the foul line.
After taking Sunday off, the tournament was set to conclude Monday.
